Abstract

The present work reports an experience of organizing an in-person event aimed at students of Distance Education (EaD) in a public university in Northern Paraná. The gathering brought together students from various support centers, located up to 400 kilometers away from the main campus, where the event took place. The primary objective of this meeting was to welcome students from different undergraduate courses at the main campus, providing them with specific guidance and training to succeed in EaD courses, as well as fostering discussions on active learning processes. In addition to welcoming and training the students, the event also aimed to showcase the physical structure and available resources of the main campus, offering participants a broader view of the educational environment of the institution, as well as the utilization of these spaces. Another relevant aspect of the event was to promote integration between the university's academic staff and the stakeholders directly involved in Distance Education. The event proved to be a valuable opportunity to strengthen the bonds between students, professors, and administrative teams, fostering a collaborative and motivating atmosphere within the scope of EaD.

Jose Ricardo Penteado Falco, UEM

Possui graduação em Bacharelado Em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1992), mestrado em Biologia Celular e Estrutural pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1995) e doutorado em Biologia Celular e Estrutural pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1999). Atualmente é professor associado da Universidade Estadual de Maringá. Tem experiência na área de Genética, com ênfase em Genética Animal, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: citoquímica, cromatina, abelhas, insetos, inseticidas, e na área de educação na formação/capacitação de professores, e na educação a distância.

Flávio Rodrigues de Oliveira, UEM

Possui graduação em História pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá, graduação em Filosofia pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá e graduação em Pedagogia pela Uninter. Mestrado em Educação pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá e Mestrado em Filosofia pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá. Doutor pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em História da Universidade Estadual de Maringá e Doutorando em Educação pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá. Atua principalmente nos seguintes temas: Educação a Distância (EaD) e Tecnologias Educacionais; Fundamentos Históricos e Filosóficos da Educação na Antiguidade e Medievalidade; Tecnologias Digitais da Informação e Comunicação (TDICs) na Formação de Professores.

Josiane Medeiros de Mello, UEM

Bióloga, formada pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá - UEM, Mestre e Doutora em Ciências Biológicas- área de Anatomia pela Universidade Estadual Paulista- UNESP- Botucatu. Atualmente é Professora Associada e ministra a disciplina de Anatomia Humana. É coordenadora Adjunta UAB-UEM. Na extensão universitária desenvolve projetos nas áreas de Biologia e Informática para idosos. É membro do conselho permanente do Museu Dinâmico Interdisciplinar da UEM.
