This text discusses the training experience carried out at the University Federal of Mato Grosso (UFMT) aimed at people who deal with pedagogical mediation in Distance Education. The planning of the course, with a workload of 20 hours, was carried out through meetings between the work team of the Educational Technology Secretary and the General Coordination of the Open University of Brazil. These objectives were described as follows: Reflect on the mediation characteristics of the teaching-learning process in EaD; Understand the functioning and operationalization processes of EaD at UFTM (systems); Provide an understanding of the role of professionals in building quality education. Methodologically, a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) was structured with restricted access for registered participants, in which access links to all activities were available. These activities consisted of an opening conference, which addressed topics related to EaD and had the participation of teachers from different academic institutions, followed by three formative moments, which were: synchronous meetings, activities on the platform and interaction through the forum. The results of the participant's evaluation forum indicate a positive result in relation to interaction with other professionals, sharing of experiences and expectations of new courses of this nature.
