This experience report describes the strategies and actions implemented by the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) to carry out classes in a non-face-to-face format, using Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TDIC) during the Covid-19 pandemic. The study is characterized as a qualitative research with documentary and bibliographical collection, including access to UFG's institutional repositories (websites), as well as analysis of information made available by the institution's bodies, in particular, the Secretariat of Technology and Information (SeTI) and the Dean of Student Affairs (PRAE). Based on the results of the study, it was possible to infer that the UFG's strategies and actions for the use of DICT were included since the beginning of the pandemic, becoming an essential tool for the development of classes in the non-face-to-face format. It was also found that the top management of the UFG used the TDIC as a strategic resource to face the pandemic, with several actions to better understand its purpose, as well as its use in an institutional way, ranging from the composition of the TDIC Working Group (GT), followed by the elaboration and approval of CONSUNI Resolution n.º 22/2020; of Normative Instruction/SeTI n.º 01/2020, in addition to other actions, such as the “UFG em Casa” website and the Emergency Connectivity Plan.
