This article discusses the challenges faced and the strategies used by tutoring management in the context of the Saúde com Agente Project, which encompasses two technical courses to form 200,000 agents throughout Brazil. The study is an analysis of the experience of tutoring management that involved a team of 4,000 tutors, 400 supervisors, 5 regional coordinators, responsible for accompanying 200,000 students in two technical courses. The results obtained highlight the complexity of coordinating a large-scale team and the importance of different strategies to overcome these challenges. Among the strategies, the following stand out: distributed leadership, articulation between teams, guidance mechanisms and work monitoring tools, effective communication channels and a training program in the role of mentoring, aligned with the content of the courses. The analysis allows for reflections on strategies for managing mentoring in large-scale projects.
