This article addresses the use of digital communication and information technologies (DCIT) in education and their evolution, highlighting the need for teachers' integration into cyberspace. It discusses public policies regulating Distance Education (DE) and positions it as an option for educational flexibility, along with guidelines to regulate the appropriate and efficient use of technologies in the educational environment. The study emphasizes the need to organically incorporate the use of DCIT into teachers' daily lives to integrate them into their pedagogical practices. Additionally, it highlights the role of the State in supporting education regarding the expansion of DE, aiming to reduce inequalities and provide access to education. The Emergency Non-Presential Teaching (ENPE) during the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the integration of DCIT in education, favoring the development of Hybrid Education, combining elements of in-person and online teaching. Faced with the challenges posed by the ever-changing cyberspace, the importance of continuous teacher training regarding DCIT is underscored. It proposes the implementation of training programs focused on technological tools to efficiently integrate these tools into pedagogical planning. Investing in training is crucial to prepare teachers for the digital era, aiming for education that is more aligned with the needs of contemporary society.
