This article aims to analyze, from the observation of two students and a graduate professor at the doctoral level and who are co-authors of this manuscript, the perception that the students of a doctoral class of a Graduate Program in Education of a public university in the Brazilian Northeast have about the use of the Padlet application, as a digital resource for conducting the assessment of learning in a mediating perspective, according to Hoffmann (2019), in online education contexts. The research was carried out over the course of 3 (three) months, approximately, during the course of the discipline performed in the graduate program, which was called "Evaluation of learning in the context of face-to-face and distance education based on the use of ICT". The research conducted was exploratory in nature, consisting of a participant observation (YIN, 2016), as well as a bibliographic study, with a qualitative approach (CRESWELL, CRESWELL, 2021). The result of the research pointed to the possibility and feasibility of performing a mediating evaluation from the use of the Padlet application, based on the observation made about the notes raised by the students of the respective discipline of the graduate program, registered in their digital portfolios configured in the public version, in the Padlet application, now studied.
