Abstract

Distance education is a teaching modality present in several institutions in the state of Roraima, and in the HEI presented here, it has been taking place since 2011, with funding mainly from CAPES, in the offer of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, having trained hundreds of students from all over the state. The report presented here is about the postgraduate course in Entrepreneurial Education, promoted by the city hall of a municipality in the interior of the state, which intended to train mainly basic education teachers, but which had the most diverse professionals from various areas. The course had a high number of candidates from other states in the country, but it was only aimed at residents of Roraima. One of the biggest difficulties faced by those entering the course was related to accessing the virtual learning environment (VLE) on the Moodle platform, since it took place at a distance. In addition to the difficulty with technological resources, the teachers also mastered little or nothing of the VLE-Moodle. This demanded efforts from the multidisciplinary team at the beginning of each component, in order to enable better student learning. Another difficulty faced was related to internet access to solve the activities proposed by the teachers, which several times needed to be extended for their fulfillment. In addition to the instability of the internet and electricity, the dropout of students over the period meant that the multidisciplinary team and course coordination needed to look for alternatives to reduce dropout and bring back students who were absent from the course for various reasons.
